You may want to consider breaking it down into tasks. The first step is to take the entrance exam. You will also want to determine if you want to a college within or outside of the state. You also may want to look at the standards of the college, they may have very strict entrance requirements.

However, the greatest stress may be imposed by how expensive the college is. A college education is very expensive. Keep in mind, that you will have to pay for the tuition, books, housing and daily living expenses.

But try to keep your goal in perspective so that you do not overwhelm yourself. There are scholarships available to help those students who are financially under privileged . There are public and private organizations, on the federal and state level, that offer a variety of different types of scholarships.

You may want to consider applying for a Freshman Honor Scholarship, which is funded by organizations that grant scholarship to excellent students. You will need to have a very high grade point average. You may want to apply specifically for this scholarship.

Keep in mind that there are others such as the Presidential Scholarship, the majority beneficiaries are honors college students. Also, the valedictorians and salutatorians of high schools may receive this scholarship.
